A farmer J. J. Wills 78 his wife Ethel 33 and their 12 year old daughter were shot to death at their home ten miles west of Carthage. Investigators consider the wife and daughter killed first then the husband died by the same weapon.
From Khabarovsk in Siberia a court sentenced and executed 24 more alleged Trotskyist and Japanese spies blamed for sabotage on the Trans Siberian line. The tally in Soviet Russia’s spy hunt rises to 222 executions, many in the far east.
Mr and Mrs Raymond M Gunn of Tulsa visited Monday and Tuesday with Vernon L Gunn, district traffic agent for Transcontinental and Western Air, Inc., at 1020 West Eleventh Avenue. They left today for a combined business and pleasure trip to New Mexico.

In San Antonio a hospital reported a rare coincidence as a mother and her daughter each delivered baby girls at the same time. Mrs Mabel Dears, 45, welcomed her 14th child while Dorothy Moore, 18, had her second. The twins were born shortly before 1 AM.

W P W H Jones age 26 was charged with theft of a 140000 pound dredge boat frame valued at 30000 from Morgans Point near La Porte. Deputy R R Busch filed the charge with Justice Tom Maes noting the steel frame was cut into 500 pound sections.
A salvage frame was sold to a Houston junk dealer for 300 dollars. At current scrap iron prices the frame would fetch 700 dollars, highlighting a loss from its estimated value to the seller.
