Youth Is Charged in Assault in Amarillo
Manuel Martinez an 18 year old Mexican youth was charged with assault with intent to rape after allegedly attacking an Amarillo woman asleep in her bed. He was arraigned with a $5000 bond and arrested within minutes of the report. The victim, treated for facial injuries, woke during the struggle as two children nearby sought help.
