Woman midshipman training in New York and Northampton notes
The fifth Woman's Page feature by Mise Zeeck follows a former Pampa teacher now training as a midshipman. She recalls being sworn in, city sights in New York including a Diamond Horseshoe visit, encounters with Allied servicemen, and a parade of nations. She also visits Northampton's 1658 Parsons house, describes navy indoctrination, captain's inspections, and reunions with WAVES and WAC colleagues. Two weeks remain until graduation with stripes and orders.
