Inquest Verdicts Returned In Echols Deaths
In Houston on July 17 inquest verdicts of acute alcoholism were returned in the deaths of Commander Virgil A. Echols and his wife. Mrs Echols, 47, was found nude kneeling beside her bed when firefighters forced entry after a blaze. Commander Echols, 50, was found nude on the floor deliriously muttering a wartime slogan.
