Insurance Women of Amarillo met for their regular dinner meeting at the Herring Hotel. Fourteen members and guests attended. President Mrs. Doris Haynie led the business session with a fiscal year financial report. Miss Mildred Long, first vice president, presented a membership check. Questions about the casualty course sponsored by the club were distributed to members.
Mrs. E. M. Benesch captured the high score at a Pajarito Bridge Club gathering held Friday afternoon at Mrs. Jennie Lindbloom’s home on Fountain. Mrs. M. E. Jordan took second high. Other players included A. C. Edwards, G. C. Boney, Melvin Anderson, W. R. Ballard, and guest Mrs. Marie J. Smith.
A bridge and canasta games party sponsored by the Y-Wives is set for July 26 at 2 pm in the YWCA gym. Reservations are requested with Mrs J H Wishcamper by July 24, indicating bridge or canasta. Group reservations are welcome. A nursery will be available for mothers with children and refreshments will be served. A small admission charge applies.
