Death in Subzero Plant Traps Ice Cream Owner
Saul H. Perry, 50, owner of Piewick Ice Cream, died in a Stamford plant’s 40 below zero refrigeration room. He entered the room alone, locked inside after the door handle was removed for repairs, and tried to free himself with a pencil and pen, then damaged wiring, and finally lit matches to stave off numbness but perished. His wife, who had been visiting Boston, found his body when she returned.

Washington July 16 The Washington local of the AFL International Typographical Union demanded the removal of War Labor Board chairman Dr George W Taylor. Boys Nab Italian POW With Sixshooter Near Amarillo
Randall County farm youths Wayne Dammier and Guy Bufkin spotted an Italian prisoner of war in a field on the Dammier farm. They and Walter Dammier turned him over to Deputy Sheriff R. M.
