City police arrest Morin Bitela on pistol indictment
City police last night arrested Morin Bitela and turned him over to the county. He is wanted on an indictment charging him with unlawfully carrying a pistol, a misdemeanor.

No Dates Set For Inspection By OPA Meat Division
OPA meat division officials in the Lubbock district said they do not know when investigators will inspect frozen food lockers in the Panhandle. Dallas officers say inspections would begin Monday. In Amarillo two lockers, Zero and Johnson Grocery, hold most of the meat. About 75 percent belongs to farmers and much of the rest to Polk Street Farmers. Exemptions apply to possessors who prove lawful surrender or on farm slaughter.
