Shamrock Youth Returns to Potter County Jail

Shamrock youth Tom Green who escaped Sunday from Potter County jail was recaptured this afternoon in Wheeler by Deputy Sheriff Dick Vaughan. He had swapped his escape footwear for a pair of cowboy boots, causing blisters that forced him to walk tiptoe back to custody. Green and accomplice Arnold Hicks, serving time for shoplifting, fled the jail after trading shoes for boots. Hicks would have been released in October.
