Leveritt, a two week employee, opened shutes to fill boxcars with wheat. his father A. G. Leveritt, a barber, lives in Brownfield.
J A Duniven filed suit against Security Insurance Company of New Haven Conn to recover 2200 for explosion damages to the brick building at 2108 West Sixth Avenue. Mortgage holder Mrs R B Masterson is named in the suit. The damaged structure opposite Northwest Texas Hospital houses Tdea Paint and Body Works and was hit April 20 when an air compressor tank shot through the roof.
Investigators for the Panhandle area met this morning with District Supervisor J 5 Pischer at the district office in the courthouse to discuss pension case work. Attendees included C L Alexander Claude J B Hesse Pampa J L Kilgore Shamrock Miss D Laurlie Beville Dalhart O W Gano Canyon and Mrs Floyd Cooper Amarillo.
Leigh Fischer age 21 son of Mr and Mrs J B Fischer of 2117 Monroe Street returned from Austin where he took part of state bar examinations He finished Amarillo High School in 1932 and later earned a law degree from Kansas University after two years at Amarillo College He is among the youngest to achieve this degree. Burroughs representative John Oakes of Roswell spent the week in Amarillo on business and planned to return to Roswell. he is the son of Mr and Mrs J M Oakes of 1807 Monroe Street.

Mr Utterback is a geologist for the Texas Company in Pampa.
County Clerk Ted Blackburn mails notary public commissions to all Potter County notaries who have not called for theirs. Commissions are valid for the next two years.
Braniff Airways announces improved Amarillo radio coverage with new receiving sets installed by Harold Waite of Dallas at Eng lish Airport. The system now uses 5042.5 kilocycles by day and 2912.0 kilocycles by night, reported by agent Vernon L. Gunn of the B-Line.
Fifty one Social Center girls attended free swimming lessons at Thompson Pool yesterday, a new attendance record. Miss Ingeborg Kilstofte led instruction with Sara Stone Mary Ann Weymouth and Kilstofte directing. transportation was provided by Mrs. C. K. Rogers assisted by Mesdames Reppert Burnett Peterson Gilbreath Cooper and Gray.
Secretary of Potter County Red Cross returned home Thursday from a vacation to the Pacific Northwest. She traveled with her father-in-law C. H. Ball and was joined by her two children Arthur Jr and Beverly. En route they visited California.
A group of Amarillo and Panhandle Legion officials will leave Saturday for Sweetwater to attend a Fifth Division Legion executives meeting. District Commander Lou Roberts of Borger joins Floyd Sloan Hanson Post adjutant, Bill Benton, and Buck Holman of Amarillo.
W. H. Finley, assistant director of the Palm Credit Administration in Dallas, visits Amarillo after touring the South Plains. He reports farm conditions in fine shape and FCA expects nearly complete loan payments in the region.
Ernest McCarty, a Tarrant County Black man convicted of assaulting a white woman, died in the electric chair at the state penitentiary early today in Huntsville Texas.
The treasury's July 7 position shows receipts of 67.94 million and expenditures of 84.96 million, leaving a balance of 2.52 billion.
