Wind storms devastate Minneapolis with deaths and damage

A violent storm system lashed Minnesota on Wednesday night, killing four in Minneapolis including Emma Miller and her daughter after a section of the Lake Harriet pavilion collapsed. Harvest Hands Who Ran Off With Train In Jail

New State Oil and Gas District Created Here

Amarillo will host a newly formed district of the oil and gas division of the Texas Railroad Commission. H. H. Fitzpatrick, long time deputy commissioner at Breckenridge, is named head of the Amarillo district and will arrive around July 12. A space request has been made to the Board of City Development for office space in the city hall.

Youth Reaches College for Help After Arm Amputation

In Bryan a 23 year old Dallas student E W Kynard severed his left arm on railway wheels and ran with the limb to Texas A and M College for aid. He died early today. He boarded a freight train to College Station, fell on the track, and carried the arm in the position of a torch. Dean Kyler rushed him to the hospital and he did not wait for help into a car. The body will be sent to Dallas and his mother arrived today.

Laundry Men Pick San Antonio For Next Convention
