Amarillo Water Use Reaches Peak Earlier This Year
Amarillo yesterday used 6,060,000 gallons to meet demand, equaling last year’s peak reached July 27. Mayor Col. E O Thompson said the city is pumping seven million gallons daily and higher patronage explains hitting the peak 20 days sooner than in 1929. Sunday usage dropped to 4,830,000 gallons.
