Amarillo office engineer Paul L. Mayne, longtime Santa Fe Railway Western Lines official, has logged about 3,000 miles on foot across Kansas Oklahoma Texas New Mexico and Colorado. Born in Darlington Wisconsin in 1890, he studied at Colorado University and served in WWI before rising to office engineer in Amarillo. He and his wife Margaret Patterson have two children Farr Jr. and Alice.
