Amarillo postal receipts for the year ended June 30 rose to 671,835.69 dollars from 582,871.67 the prior year an increase of 88,964.02 dollars. June receipts exceeded last year by 9,094.96 dollars and last month’s total was 56,016.60 with 46,921.64 for June of last year. War bond sales last month reached 65,525 dollars and war status sales 8,855 dollars.
The postal savings department shows 1,498 depositors with total deposits of 926 422 dollars, up from 1,377 accounts and 884 134 dollars the previous year. Separate figures indicate year over year growth in account numbers and holdings.
