Shamrock Texas July 2 two prominent Shamrock men were abducted and tied to the Red River bridge as a charivar prank. They were later rescued by a party led by Mrs Holmes with Fire Chief Porter and Deputy Sheriff Yelvin. The victims were Robert Holmes Gulf Refining and Claude Enloe Dixie Dry Goods, both recently married Odessa Skidmore and Nannie Holland of Italy were among the participants.
