Felix F. Phillips, early Amarillo educator and co founder of the Lowery Phillips School, died suddenly at his family home at 905 Adams Street at age 77. Survivors include his wife Adeline, two sons F F Phillips and Phil Phillips, two daughters Mrs F B Martin and Mrs F F Propst, and brother T E Phil of Tampa. Funeral arrangements are pending at Blackburn Funeral Home. He formerly led Hattiesburg schools before moving to Amarillo in 1910 to establish the school with Dr Lowery.
