U P reports from Italy on January 26 that the 15th U S Air Force in the Mediterranean reduced four Silesian synthetic plants near Blechhammer Odertal and Oswiecim by at least 80 percent in the 145 day oil campaign. More than 7 000 bomber and 2 500 fighter sorties dropped about 15 000 tons of bombs.
