Opium Smoking Suppression Plan Aims 15 Year Span
Geneva January 26 The joint commission from the first and second international opium conference met to break the deadlock between American and European delegations on opium smoking suppression in the Far East. Stephen Porter of the American delegation said all favored a 15 year period but debated when it should begin. The commission adjourned after Porter spoke pending further analysis and a future session.
