GOSHEN Indiana January 23 A 75 year old Amish bishop Hochstettler was sentenced to six months in a penal farm for assault and battery after prosecutors said he chained his 41 year old daughter Lucy to a bed in an unlighted room for years. Authorities described the home seven miles east of town as filthy and the daughter found crouched on a straw tick. The sentence will be served at Putnamville penitentiary as soon as possible.
