Nabber Captured Near Queen City After Kidnap Plot
Leonard W. Scrivener alias Leonard W. Johnson, accused of kidnapping Secret Service Agent William O. Morgan, was captured near Queen City in Cass County. Federal officers tracked him to his father's home and a night stakeout led to his apprehension around 10 p.m. Lead by a G-Man and Sheriff Hugh T. Hardegree, the arrest ends days of surveillance as Scrivener reportedly entered the residence for food.
