Cpl Billy Lively son of Mr and Mrs D A Lively of 412 West Fourteenth arrived home after 26 months in the Pacific with the Second Marine Division. Leader of a mortar squad he fought on Saipan Tinian Theya Shima and Okinawa and wears the Purple Heart for wounds suffered in August 1944 on Tinian. He previously served in Japan with occupation forces.
