Flying Fortress Due Here Today

A United States Army flying fortress B 17 is expected to land at English Field this afternoon after 4 o clock on its West Coast bound flight from Wright Field Ohio. It previously diverted to Cook Field Texas for repairs before resuming its journey and will be the third B 17 to visit Amarillo following prior arrivals of a B 15 and another B 17.

Chamber Banquets Set for February Across Amarillo Area

The Amarillo Chamber of Commerce plans its annual meeting in February with a principal speaker still to be chosen. Invitations went out today for Clarendon and Perryton chamber banquets next Monday and next week, sent by J. R. Gillham and Harry F Cayler respectively.
