Four Convicts Escape Oklahoma Penitentiary
Four tubercular ward inmates tunneled out of the Oklahoma state penitentiary in McAlster. Three fled in a taxi and one walked away. The escapees Coney Coffey Charlie Points Vern Brothers and Earl Williams were part of a seven man breakout last September.
