Theft Suspect Caught In Tunnel Labyrinth

Hollywood detectives captured Herbert Wright in a labyrinth of underground tunnels dug beneath seven stores in the heart of Hollywood. They link his arrest to a recent 1700 dollar burglary of a drug store and say he honeycombed the area for one to two years. Red Carson, suspected Oklahoma bank robber, was shot to death by three officers in Wellington as Sheriff Jess Harrison was wounded in the arm. The exchange occurred in front of the Atlas Hotel after Carson spent the night there following a chase linked to a Willow Springs bank robbery.
