10000 Doctors to Get Calls for Relocation in 1943
The War Manpower Commission disclosed that 10000 more physicians would be drafted for military service in 1943, leaving over 80000 civilian doctors. Dr Frank H Leahy said 80000 active civilian physicians are enough if well distributed and civilians stay healthy. Over 400 physicians are already relocated and more may volunteer.
