Kangaroo Court Death At Wichita Falls

Four men formerly held in Wichita County jail testified that a so called kangaroo court discipline led to the death of Percival G Graves after his Nov 24 jail placement. They identified Ed Ebers as sheriff and claimed malicious abuse occurred as Graves was struck undressed, dragged to the shower and dropped, in the jail’s court system.

Stalcup and Brown Set for Feb 4 Murder Trials in Lubbock

In Lubbock on January 8, Virgil Stalcup and Clarence Brown face murder charges for Sheriff W. B. Arthur's death during the Dickens jail escape on October 27. Judge Clark M.
