Marland Plans to Annul Adoption to Wed Fiancée

W. D. Marland, Oklahoma oil operator, will seek annulment of the adoption of his ward and fiancée Miss Lydie Roberts Marland so the couple can marry. The 28 year old is his niece, one of two children of his late wife's sister adopted twelve years ago. Mrs. Marland died in 1926, and the Roberts couple, living at Flourtown, refuse comment. Lubbock Girl Dies After Car Strikes Culvert

Miss Ronnie Barrer 29 died at a Lubbock hospital after an automobile accident early Sunday. Her companion Josephus Thompson was injured when the steering knuckle broke causing the car to crash into a concrete culvert.

Two Murder Charges Filed in Corsicana Case
