Mink Tax Revolt Aims To Cut Wartime Fees

In a column by Frederick Othman from Washington, a satirical piece argues light bulb and cabaret taxes will drop after wartime ends. It notes mink and beaver pelts face reduced duties from July 1, boosting fur dealers and potential coat prices. The piece also mentions a tax-cut resolution and its possible broad impact on consumer costs. It ends with a brief Jerusalem report on British troops searching Tel Aviv slums for extremists.
