Woodruff Sentenced In Trial At Dumas
James Woodruff of Amarillo pleaded guilty to theft of property between 3 and 50 dollars and was sentenced to 60 days in jail and 100 dollar fine plus costs. He was linked to the theft of a jack and battery from Halliburton Oil Well Cementing Co. Clifford J Breece, arrested with Woodruff, pleaded not guilty. Woodruff also faced Potter County bond on a fatal traffic crash involving two women. He drove the taxi that struck Mrs. R B Childress and her daughter Kathleen. The grand jury had reduced murder to negligible homicide. Trial set for county court session tomorrow.
