Train plunges from open draw bridge near Mobile
The Louisville & Nashville Pan-American passenger train derailed from an open bridge over the Mobile River early today. Four crew members drowned: engineer Arthur R. Ingram, fireman Ezekial Crompton, baggage master J Nick Vaughn, and porter L Woods. The wreck occurred 18 miles northwest of Mobile after the train left New Orleans at 8:50 p m. Officials cannot account for the bridge being open. A relief train with doctors nurses and supplies was dispatched four hours after the accident.

Flaming Gas Menaces City Near Deep Rock Well
