Two Amarillo women, Mrs. W. E. Skeels and Mrs. D. Koontz, were injured after a gusty wind caused their car to swerve and crash into a ditch on the Washburn highway. Skeels regained consciousness and is expected to recover, while Koontz remains in extremely critical condition with internal injuries and possible spine injury.

Tom Gregory of River Oaks beat Harry Atwell of Houston 1 up and meets Jack Neville of Los Angeles, who edged Oasie Carlton of Houston one up at nineteen holes.
