Transform an alcove with smart furniture ideas
Practical guides turn an alcove into a versatile focal point. Options include built in or ready made bookshelves with a desk setup for reading, a color coordinated wallpaper backdrop with chairs and a table, or mirrors to boost light. Other uses include a game area with a card table, a piano corner, a radio or record storage nook, or extra sleeping space with a sofa bed. In dining rooms alcoves become china displays, while bedroom alcoves suit vanity shelves and ceiling high draperies for a cohesive look.
