Omnibus tax bill funds state hospitals for 18 months

The omnibus tax raise will finance operation and maintenance of state hospitals for 18 months and ends then. A penny-a-pack cigarette tax increase brings total to four cents a pack to provide a long range hospital building fund for seven years.
