Amarillo to Open Bids on Water Works Contract

Amarillo city commission plans a busy session to open bids on two water works contracts. Proposals cover drilling wells on Bush estate land southwest of Amarillo and constructing a 30 inch reinforced spun concrete water line about 33 000 feet long. Project cost about 420 000 dollars with a 102 000 dollar government grant. Mayor Jenkins notes multiple contractors present.
