College Vets Hear Talk on Legion
Amarillo College veterans met in the auditorium to discuss American Legion functions. Dean Folsom D. Jackson introduced Otis R. Terry who outlined GI Bill benefits and other government aid. Terry urged veterans to call 20849 for assistance and a new plaque was ordered for the school to be sent to A. & M. for forwarding to El Paso.

El Paso led in man miles among attendees at the water and sewer operators course at A and M. Ray Ramzel of Amarillo sewer works said on return that the Panhandle association topped attendance for three straight years and earned permanent possession of the plaque.

Ira Alexander Charged With Desertion Returned Here
Ira E. Alexander was brought back from Houston on an indictment for wife and child desertion. He was indicted by a Potter County grand jury on January 10. Sheriff’s officers retrieved him and Judge Henry S. Bishop set bond at 1000 dollars, which he has not posted.

Cars Cannot Display New Licenses Before March
