Three Convicts Escape Lawton City Jail

Preacher Held In McLean Case In Oklahoma Dispatch
In Pampa on February 13 Sheriff Pipes wired a warrant to Springfield Missouri for itinerant preacher L H Shockley wanted for the poison slaying of W T Hudgins the preacher denied involvement. Deputy R B Stout headed to Missouri to bring Shockley back, with Stout reporting return of the suspect. Hudgins death at his McLean Texas ranch on November 6 1930 was linked to poisoned flour and investigators note other Hudgins family deaths in 1930 1931 remain unexplained with illness in Terry Erwin and relatives continuing to puzzle authorities.
