Fire destroys Fair Park Agriculture Building in Tri-State Park
Potter County commissioners reviewed an inadequate fire policy covering the 1926 wood and tarpaper Agriculture Building at Tri-State Fair Park. The structure, 50 by 260 feet with about 13 000 square feet, was destroyed after a grass fire spread. Insurance estimates put replacement cost near 2 500 to 3 per square foot, with depreciation about 2 percent yearly, and settlement postponed pending contractor estimates.
