Minstrel Club and Girl Scout Activities Schedule
The Minstrel Club will not meet next Monday but returns February 17 to pursue the Minstrel Proficiency Badge in early March. A new minstrel group forms March 17. International Friendship Day and the Juliette Low Memorial Fund drive are highlighted with Amarillo Scouts supporting the cause. Fifty Girl Scouts are needed for International Friendship activities and four mothers with cars will assist. Mariner Ship 1 Valera Jo Mc Coy becomes a regular Mariner of the Flying Cloud crew.

About one month after Amarillo fans sent the Golden Sandie football squad to Dallas the Amarillo Sandie Band traveled with a special train. The band dressed in uniform and performed for the team, receiving praise in Dallas and Fort Worth papers for their marching and cheering efforts.
