In Canyon, Mr Plaisted will teach a life saving course while in Amarillo.
Tokyo February 6 The navy ministry disclosed that 81 crew members of Submarine 1-63 likely died after a collision during maneuvers in Bungwo Channel four days earlier. Six men were rescued and search and rescue efforts would continue.

H G Lassiter died at his home in Jonesboro Arkansas after a 17 year illness. A former minister, he is survived by his widow four sons Harmon Don Ernest and John Henry a daughter Mrs Aaron Falls a brother Victor Lassiter and a sister Mrs Sullivan all of Jonesboro. Mrs Sullivan could not attend the funeral due to illness.
The infant son of Mr and Mrs E G Loftis of 3605 Taylor Street died in a local hospital last night. The body is at N and Griggs & Sons Funeral Home pending completion of funeral arrangements.

Billie Jack Scott of Vega aged year old son of Mr and Mrs W M Scott died in a local hospital last night of pneumonia. Funeral at Vega Baptist Church this afternoon at 3 with Rev L E Godwin officiating. Burial in Vega. Body sent overland by N S Griggs and sons. Survived by mother and father two brothers Clyde five and Robert four and a sister Mattie Sue three.
