Witness Dramatics Crossed By Defense In Paight Case
Late Tuesday or Wednesday the defense rested its case after Carol delivered testimony about Sgt Paight. Dr. Snavely, who performed the autopsy, said the cancer was too far advanced for surgery and remained uncertain how long the officer might live. The defense argued this prognosis drove Carol into temporary insanity and she maintained composure while breaking into tears during questions before a court recess.
