Amarillo men win Boy Scout service awards
Ed Spann received the Silver Beaver Award for long volunteer service to the Boy Scouts, while Fred DeCoster earned the 20 Year Veteran award. Spann’s career with Troop 2 spans since 1929, with leadership roles on the council and various committees. DeCoster helped organize Troop Bartlesville and later served on Amarillo council and the executive board. A final note recalls a Guildford kite case where a magistrate and police acknowledged limited regulatory knowledge.
