APAN reports a three inch red snow outbreak linked to volcanic dust, not a omen, while Japan builds fifty fighter planes monthly. Wheat prices rise amid global shortages as Turkey and Greece edge toward conflict and old religious authority tensions surface.
Amarillo marked a new era as ground for the eight story Amarillo Building was broken by Mayor Eugene Blasdel. Ross D. Rogers, president of the Board of City Development, tossed the first dirt.
