The Amarillo Central Labor union denounces plans to send a committee of labor representatives to Russia to show sympathy with communists. A letter from William Green of the AFL reads at a Tuesday night meeting, condemning such funds and agitation as pernicious.
The American Federation of Labor denounces the communist philosophy and dictatorship in Russia and pledges opposition to all forms of communist agitation in the United States and Western Hemisphere. It calls for nonrecognition of the Soviet regime and condemns a proposed Russian committee as not representative of labor. Becomes wary of any diplomatic exploitation and urges unions to withhold support from such schemes.
