Mayor Ross Rogers heads a reception committee to greet Amarillo College Badgers, West and South Texas champions, at 7:45 tonight at Fort Worth and Denver station. The team beat Marshall Tigers 13 to 6 in Marshall to clinch the Panhandle title, with players from across the region. A downtown parade will follow led by motorcycle police as the team returns home.

Man Confesses Murder of Boy in South Carolina

Columbia South Carolina police said Robert H. Wiles a 49 year old automobile mechanic confessed to luring 15 year old Herbert Harris Jr from his home and beating him to death with an iron bar at a deserted house. Harris body was found Christmas Day in an abandoned house in the Congaree Swamp area nine miles from Columbia.

W. F. Moreman posted 750 bond in Justice J. W. Pottinger's court on a charge of failure to stop and render aid. The case stems from an early Sunday morning injury to W. H.
