The accident occurred about 8 15 Thursday night on the Plains Brownfield highway eight miles west of Brownfield. Daniel and Moore oil field workers were in the Buick with three others injured including two Brownfield youths. Bodies were taken to Brownfield Funeral Home and Clanahan survived by his wife four children two brothers a sister and his mother.
The US Weather Bureau reports fair and cold conditions in Amarillo and vicinity Friday and Friday night, with rising temperatures Saturday. Panhandle outlook shows below seasonal temperatures for the next two to three days but favorable outdoor conditions. West Texas remains fair and colder with lows 5 to 10 in Panhandle and 18 to 24 elsewhere, and Saturday expected to be fair and warmer.
