McNatt Appointed Clerk on Ninth District Appeals Board

Food Stamp Office To Stay Open Late

The food stamp office at 115 West Fifth Avenue will stay open until 7 PM on Monday and Tuesday nights to serve WPA workers eligible to buy stamps. Paydays for WPA fall on those days next week. The plan began in Amarillo and Potter County last Monday with several hundred dollars in stamps sold on opening day, buyers receiving proportional stamps for surplus commodities.
