Amarillo plans distribute goods via traveling salesmen
The Jobbers and Manufacturers association in Amarillo plans to arm every traveling salesman with a folder listing all local merchandise. Three hundred letters were mailed from the Board of City Development to area firms inviting cooperation. Norris Ewing urged firms to respond, noting every Amarillo salesman will represent all local firms. Those missing letters should contact S. J. Cole at the city development offices.

Amarillo Airport Lighting Contracts To Be Awarded

Youth Held After Running Gun Battle at Waldorf Hotel
United Press reports in Enver Colorado that 24 year old police suspect James Reeves led detectives Charles Fowler and Carl Wilson on a running gun battle. Reeves fled from a pool hall chased by officers, fired on them, then was seized inside the Waldorf hotel lobby and taken to the police station.
