D C Lillard a 27 year old Houston man died at a Houston hospital after being shot by fellow hunter W T Black on a Jackson ranch near Anahuac. An eye witness Dr H A Price said the shooting was wholly accidental noting Lillard wore a gray coat and his glasses reflected like a wolf’s eyes in the dark.
The Associated Press reports New York and the United States show strong religious belief. A nationwide census of 60,000 readers in 150 newspapers across forty states finds 89 percent express belief in God, compared with 73 percent in England’s Daily News readers.
