About 60 000 Chrysler Corp employees in 11 plants will share a Christmas bonus over 2.5 million dollars and receive a two cent hourly raise. The UAW CIO and company officials announced after talks, with the bonus totaling 40 dollars per worker. The agreement raises annual wages by about six and three quarter million dollars and secures seniority and benefits for those drafted into military service. The 40 dollar payment replaces vacation with pay for hourly workers with at least one year’s seniority as of November 30, 1940. Ratification by locals is due by December 19, 1940.

Army Induction Schedule Adjusted for Holidays and January
The November total reached 20 000 inducted with a December call for 60 000 postponed to allow holidays at home. January now expects 160 000 trainees, 10 000 more than planned, leaving 60 000 behind October timetable. Officials still aim for 1 400 000 by June 30 if materials and labor hold, as corps area commanders decide when camps are ready and requisitions are issued only after full equipment.
