Body Identified As Missing Shawnee Man Found In Canyon
A body tentatively identified as Ray Evans, a Shawnee civic worker and missing attorney, was found in a canyon six and a half miles north of Lindsay Oklahoma. Deputy Sheriff J P Mitchell said the body matched Evans and was badly decomposed, un clothed, weighing about 160 pounds with thinning red hair. Officials planned an inquest before removal, as Evans had been missing since November 19 after leaving Shawnee to interview a client.
