Medical Association seeks truce with chiropractors

Dallas dispatch reports the State Medical Association would suspend actions against chiropractors practicing without a state license if Edwin Bolte of Fort Worth guarantees those chiropractors will suspend during their appeal of a federal judge's decision. Dr. C M Rosser, president, said Attorney General Dan Moody clarified he has not agreed not to prosecute violators while the appeal is pending.

Fall Doheny bribery indictments upheld on appeal

The DC circuit court of appeals affirmed two indictments against Fall Doheny and his son Edward L Doheny Jnr for bribery related to oil leases. The decision held a 1906 act did not bar the special oil counsel from using district attorneys. Pending related charges in DC Supreme Court may proceed.

Investigation ordered from governor to justice of the peace

Judge J R Hamilton urged a complete investigation of all officers from the governor to the justice of the peace. The Travis county grand jury was told to resume unfinished business including a two month probe of the state highway department. Childress Girl Killed in Car Overturn Crash

Collector's agent accused in $25,000 suit over abuse claim

The Commercial Investment company of Denver faces a $25,000 damage suit in district court.
